Overview: With her own movie, Justice League, AND Injustice coming out soon, I figured it would be a great time to profile the most well known female superhero of all time!  Now, while there have been a few other that have worn the mantle, we’re going to be focusing on Diana Prince, who is overwhelmingly the most well-known and longest tenured Wonder Woman.  Wonder Woman’s incredible durability, superhuman strength, and amazonian build place her in the Tank archetype, making her our third female Tank (after Zarya and Samus Aran before her.)  With Diana’s ability to take damage and dish it right back out again, we’re going to place her in the Warrior class, quite possibly the best warrior in the DC universe, at that.

Wonder Woman is a total badass.  Seriously.  While doing my research for her series here on the blog, I realized she’s wrecked just about every “big bad” in the DC universe (with the exception of cosmic level entities, and sometimes even those.)  This includes those such as Green Lantern, Sinestro, Power Girl, Captain Marvel, and, yes, Superman.  Though she can’t match some of them when it comes to raw power, her technique and skills as a warrior, combined with her strength and speed, make her an incredibly powerful fighter.

Let’s take a look at how we’re going to spend our time with her!
Wonder Woman Workout

In The Wonder Woman Workout, we’re going to focus on two things:  Strength and speed.  Diana’s stronger than almost everyone else on earth, with the exception of a limited few (and she can take most of them in a fight, anway.)  As such, we’re going to be hitting the weights, hard.  Strong is the new skinny, baby!  We’re also going to be looking to build some serious agility, to keep up with the likes of Cheetah!  Look for plyometrics drills, sprints, and other fun stuff!

Wonder Woman Skills

In The Skills of the Amazons, we’re going to look at the unique skillset that Diana has as the premiere warrior force in the DC universe.  Batman himself has said that Diana might be the most skilled fighter in existence, and her history of wrecking face supports this.  We’re going to talk about martial arts, archery, and battlefield tactics.  We’re also going to discuss improving prowess in hand-to-hand combat.

Wonder Woman Mind

In Demi-God Warrior Princess, we’re going to talk about the mantle of responsibility that Wonder Woman bears, and how it differs from that of her colleagues in the Justice League.  We’re going to talk about how that mantle has shaped who she is as a person, and her motivations for the things she does.

I have to say, I had to resist the urge to turn this character spotlight into just a series of splash images featuring Diana pummeling various members of the DC universe.  I still may finish out the series with that, we’ll see!  In the meantime, I’ll see you again on Monday for The Wonder Woman Workout!  Want to see the workout now?  It’s already live on the Patreon feed!  Remember, all Patrons get to live a blog post in THE FUUUUUTUUUUUURE!  For as little as $1 a month, you too could be living in the glorious tomorrowland!

Live boldly, change the world, and continue to be awesome!
