Jackie and Dan’s Journey: Week 25

First off, before we get any further…

Champions Guild T-Shirts Now for Sale!

These shirts are a limited-edition first run!  Go snap one up now, while you still can!  I am SUPER EXCITED about this!!  Show everyone your inner champion, with the awesome new shirts!

Alrighty, now that that’s out of the way, on to our fitness update for the week!  Unfortunately, this is late again, and Jackie will once again not be participating, because yesterday we went through a massive flurry of buying our own house!!  We are SUPER excited, especially since it all went down in a whirlwind of counter-bidding and split-second decisions, which was way more invigorating than I expected.  Now I understand why some people enjoy real estate so much!  =D

Anyhoo, I’m here to give my update for the week, at least.  I’m down 1.8 lbs, which is great progress for my first week back on the plan, and I feel really reinvigorated.  I also got in my first sandbag workout in a while, which was lots of fun.  There’s something I just really enjoy about lifting heavy weights that I can’t recreate with bodyweight exercises or cardio workouts.  If you’ve never tried lifting, I heartily encourage giving it a shot (and finding someone experienced to work out with, if you can).

Diet-wise, I rocked out hard.  With just a few exceptions (ordered chinese food one night, had cake/junk food for my birthday) I did extremely well, staying under my calorie counts every day, and eating tons of veggies and lean protein.  Cutting out the majority of my dairy and grains intake was a big help (though I still had the occasional bit of cheese, yogurt, or pasta).  My sleep schedule kind of sucked a lot, which I attribute mostly to still being in “honeymoon mode,” hahaha.  Definitely going to work on that this week.

All in all, I’m happy with my first week back on the horse, and I look forward to continued progress.

Last week’s weigh-in: 205 lbs.
This week’s weigh-in: 203.2 lbs

That’s it for today!  If you haven’t ordered a t-shirt yet…why not?  Go grab one now!  They look awesome!!  If you haven’t joined The Champions Guild yet…why not?  Go join now!  It’s free, and also awesome!  Tomorrow we’re going to be starting a new champion breakdown with Joel, from The Last of Us!
