Jackie and Dan’s Journey, Week 10

Dan:

Another losing week, for me, which is nice =)  Unfortunately, I didn’t make my workout goals for the week, the only exercise I got was teaching karate twice.  Was jamming too hard on writing and promoting for the blog, haha.  That said, I still stuck to my overarching quality life goals of continuing my good eating and sleeping habits, which helped fuel the weight loss.  Remember people, what you eat determines your size.

This week, since my sleep schedule has been relatively stable, I’m going to be trying to start working out in the morning again.  I went for a 2 1/2 mile run today, looking to get in a martial arts and strength workout tomorrow morning before work.  I want to get in at least three morning workouts this week, so tomorrow will be my first!

Last Week’s Weigh-in: 206.8

This Week’s Weigh-in: 205.6

Jackie:

I’m going into week six of working out every morning and it’s not even a question to do it.  I feel guilty if i can’t make it in the gym now.  I also find myself applying life lessons from the gym to everything.  “Do I want this bad enough” is a phrase I often repeat to myself about everyday things like cleaning the house now.  This is a turning point for me.  I am that the point where the changes I have made to my physical activity are sinking into my everyday life.  Soon, I will be straing at cake and the tought “Do I want this bad enough” will pass throufh my head and i will need to make a choice.  I have laid the foundation work.  It is now time to start the actual building.  I may have been “dieting” since Janauary 1st,  but my lifestyle hasn’t changed until now.

The trick is to accept that the work I was doing for over 2 months didn’t result in immediate weight loss but will mean that going forward I have a sturdy foundation of beliefs and decisions behind me to support me through the actual change.

Last Week’s Weigh-in: 196

This Week’s Weigh-in: 193(yay!)
