Summary:   Guybrush Threepwood was suggested by my good friend Sean, and what a great suggestion it is!  We’ve had a bevy of characters on the blog, ranging from the serious to the super serious(and Pokemon…).  We honestly haven’t had much room for the more lighthearted characters of the gaming universe.  Also, Guybrush brings a new approach to fitness and skills than we’re used to, relying on lighthearted guile, sharp wit, and resourceful optimism.  Somewhat different from our more doom and gloomy fair.

In The Guybrush Threepwood Workout we’re going to be laying out a fitness plan based upon mobility and body management.  Keeping a lean, functional framework, and focusing on good movement utility, flexibility, and speed under duress.   You need to be able to battle LeChuck as well as be able to crawl through the hold on a ship, or through a tiny crawlspace in a hidden cave.

In The Skills of Guybrush Threepwood we’ll be going over balance, so you can keep your footing on a ship’s deck, or in a swordfight with Morgan LeFlay; basic navigation, so you can find your way to Monkey Island, wherever you may be; how to be funnier and wittier, because a sharp wit is as important as a sharp sword; and finally modern-day treasure hunting(yes, it’s a thing).

The Growth of Guybrush Threepwood, our final post on the man, is going to examine the progression of his character, from earliest incarnations until now, and how that signifies his growth as a person according to the ordeals he’s undergone.  We’re also going to look at how keeping your chin up and a stiff upper lip through stormy seas can help you, too, grow as a person, and eventually come out for the better on the other side.

I think this will be a fun series, I hope you all enjoy it as well.  As always, tell your friends about the blog if you like it, and continue to be awesome.
